Returning from last year, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren hasn’t done anything to change whatever your opinion is about the first season. While there are quite a few surprises along the way, like Shinka and Makoto’s new looks and some added character quirks, the main draw of the show remains largely the same: a fast-paced comedy with chuunibyou elements, with emphasis on character appeal, surreal imaginary battles, and general silliness. As much as I love Saki, the folks at Studio Gokumi tried my patience with this Saki premiere episode. I understand that it costs money to animate, but come on guys, I know you’re all better than that!
